Ask Anything In His Name!

For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.  Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:17-18

Many times throughout life we feel alone and like no one could possibly understand how we are feeling.  This is untrue.  God knows exactly what we are feeling, and what we are going through.  This is why He sent His Son in human form so that He would truly know how we feel when we go through our daily lives.  We are never alone, and God truly cares about us.  In John 14:14, Jesus said, "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."  Jesus knew that we needed Him for all things, so He let us know that all we had to do was come to Him and ask.

In John 16:23-24, Jesus further said, "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.  Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."

The Word of God makes it clear that Jesus understands our frustrations, pains, and problems, but more importantly, Jesus made it clear that He is there for us.  All we have to do is ask!  What a gift we have been given!  Praise the Lord!

Dear God, we come before You today with praise and love!  You are an amazing God, and we thank You for all You have done for us.  Dear God, we also praise You that You sent Your Son to earth so that He could fully understand what we face on a daily basis, and for His sacrifice of dying on the cross for us.  We thank You that You have blessed us with Your Son so that we can ask You anything in His name, and it will be given to us.  Dear God, today we lift up our lives, our family's lives, our health, our homes, our jobs, and schooling, and every thing that each person is facing.  We thank You that You want only the best for us!  We praise You for the victorious answers that are about to come our way!  In Jesus name, Amen!
